G.O.M. - Multidisciplinary Oncology Groups

Multidisciplinary Oncology Groups are established in each Oncology Department. These teams comprise professionals with specific competences (a surgeon, an oncologist, a radiotherapist, a radiologist etc.) who cooperate in the diagnosis and treatment of the major tumours.
Each Group defines the healthcare pathway, implements the clinical recommendations issued by the ITT (Tumour Institute of Tuscany), integrates specialist care and discusses the most complex clinical cases.
