The Tuscan Registry of Tumours - RTRT

The Registry of Tumours includes incidence, mortality and survival rates for all tumours and specific tumour sites. This information is constantly updated.
Through a reserved area it is possible to access clinical records of patients hospitalized and submitted to surgery for major tumours.

The Tuscan Registry of Tumours (RTT) was established in 1985 and includes the population residing in the areas covered by the Florence and Prato Health Authorities and partly the Empoli population.
In December 2005 the Regional Government of Tuscany decided to extend the RTT to the whole region, establishing the Tumour Registry of the Tuscan Region (RTRT).

The information collected by the Tumour Registry of the Tuscan Region (RTRT) is intended to improve knowledge on risks and on diagnostic/treatment pathways at the local level.
The Registry is organized by Health Districts. For the Florence Health District, its operating centre is hosted by the Centre for the Study and Prevention of Tumours (CSPO), while other local centres are working to extend the Registry in the Pisa and Siena Health Districts.
